Kansas Insurance Department Reorganization
Commissioner Vicki Schmidt recently reorganized a portion of the Kansas Insurance Department, combining the Health and Life and Property and Casualty divisions. This allows the Department the opportunity to cross train employees on all lines of business and allow them to specialize in either rates or forms. Julie Holmes, a 20+ year veteran of the Department, will serve as the Director of the Rate and Form Compliance division. She will have an Assistant Director focused on rates as well as an Assistant Director focused on forms. The Department hopes this will further streamline operations.
