Kansas Association of Insurance Agents Adds Shelby Doty to Board of Directors

September 28, 2021 – Topeka, Kansas – Shelby Doty has been named to the Kansas Association of Insurance Agents (KAIA) Board of Directors. Doty, commercial lines account executive at Insurance Planning, Inc., Hays, Kansas, will serve as a director-at-large.

“As an independent agent for 20 years, I am honored to have the opportunity to serve our industry on a new level. I look forward to working with my constituents and friends around Kansas,” exclaimed Doty.

Doty, a native of Russell, Kansas, began her insurance career in 2002. She earned the Certified Insurance Service Representative designation in 2003 and Certified Insurance Counselor in 2005. Doty is licensed in six states. She has knowledge of several industries including hospitality, oil and gas, and agriculture.

“Shelby will do a phenomenal job representing KAIA member-agents, of all sizes, and in a variety of markets. She’s very active in her local community and we look forward to taking advantage of her experiences and knowledge,” stated KAIA Executive Director Dave Hulcher.
